Just Like Bossy Bear Assortment and Collection

Here is a quick glimpse at the color designs being considered for the upcoming Just Like Bossy Bear Figure Assortment. The assortment will include designs to complement the new Bossy Bear book release under the same name by fan favorite David Horvath.

TOY2R has planned a full year of surprises centered around this demanding little guy, so be on the lookout for Bossy Bear and all of his Friends. They may show up in some surprising places.



Bossy's Friend Turtle is ready to drop, so expect to see his little pal hit stateside early next month. He will be followed by Crocadoca shortly after...



And then as a companion piece to the 12" Bossy Bear Figure, TOY2R will release this 7.5" Turtle with crown figure.



But that's not all - there are more items in the works and a lot of ideas on the board for Bossy and Friends. Keep your web set to QEE4ALL for more updates and keep checking David's blog - UGLYBLOG for additional information!

First Look @ 2.5" Metallic Series of Qee

Here's a first look at the 2009 Metallic Qee Series. We debuted the series at TOY FAIR but thought we should share some better images with the fans. This is the first pic of a couple of the figures and we will begin to post a few more to give everyone an insight on this beautiful collection.

For collectors - they will notice that these are clearly the grown up versions of the 1.5" Metallic Zipper Pull Assortment - which is almost sold out!!

QEE ANATOMY by Jason Freeny

We are very proud to announce a remarkable relationship with artist Jason Freeny. After working on this amazing QEE ANATOMY piece - we met with Jason during the 2009 Toy Fair. The decision was made after a phenomenal response from attendees, TOY2R will produce a 3D version of Jason's vision. With quality a number one concern of TOY2R, we are slating this release for 2010 so we can plan for every aspect of this figure's development. While we have considered releasing it as an 8" QEE, to capture the detail we are considering creating a larger scale to include all of the details.

Want a bit more - well the packaging is already being considered as well as the ability to take the bear apart, just like the anatomy kits we are all familiar with.

Jason is currently offering a chance to pick up a limited edition ultrachrome print of the piece above - so head over to MOIST PRODUCTION now and get a piece of history! There's only 100 pieces available!!

TOY2R @ NY TOY FAIR FEB 15th-18th

TOY2R extends an invitation for you to drop by our booth during this month's New York Toy Fair to see the exciting line-up of designer toys planned for 2009.

On hand there will be previews of new figures coming out from David Horvath (co-creator of the UGLYDOLLS), Frank Kozik (one of the most prolific artists in the designer toy genre) as well as new creative items by up and coming artists. Prototypes of our licensed lines (SIMPONS, FUTURAMA and more) - several to be announced at the show! Sneak peeks at our licensed line of QEE related products and so much more.

QEE Enters the World of Fashion

As TOY2R enters into its second decade of business it will now be venturing into the world of licensed QEE products. The first incarnation of this move is taking place right now in Hong Kong.

Toy2R presents is first line of women's accessories - handbags, totes, wallets and more. Available only for the Chinese market, this line of products is being produced by FX Creations is being featured in boutique shopping areas as seen below in the new QEE Store which opened on January 16th.


More products are in development and will continue to be released throughout the year.


Have no fear - TOY2R USA is currently working on several similar opportunities in the US to make official licensed QEE products available for collectors worldwide. Expect to see and hear about new releases in the coming weeks.

36 Inch Sticker Qee from the HKAI Award Ceremony

TOY2R is proud to present the STICKER QEE project. Created to display the innovation and support of the art of designer toys, TOY2R put together this 36" QEE BEAR during the award ceremony at the 2008 Hong Kong Award for Industries, one of the most influential commercial organizations in Asia. TOY2R was honored to receive the recognition as the Grand Winner in the category of Innovation and Creativity.

The HKAI was officially created in 2005 by the Hong Kong Productivity Council. The selection criteria for this award includes:
Creativity - design, development and performance
Commitment to an innovative culture
Commercial results and prospects
Contribution to the industry and society

This custom 36" QEE bear was created during the award ceremony, so TOY2R had to develop a way to quickly customize the figure in a short period of time. With the support of 65 artists worldwide - TOY2R secured art from contributing artists and created stickers to represent each one. The final result is seen here - another fine example of the collaborative efforts on a D.I.Y. project to bring worldwide attention to the genre.



TOY2R extends its thanks to all of the artists who contributed to this project and made it a success. The Qee Bear will continue to be on display at the Design Gallery in Wanchai for public viewing.
